I'm planning to move to Valdosta, GA around May or June, and am currently looking for a job.

However, job hunting on the internet is not the best! (Just my opinion)

I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree. So I'm not looking to wait tables or anything of the sorts (I've done enough of those things!)

Can someone help with information on jobs in the social service area? I have worked as a Case Manager for youth programs for a few years and have a degree in Sociology and Masters in Public Affairs!

Any information would be helpful!

Thank you!

Default Social Services

Does anyone know of any Social Service jobs available in Valdosta, GA? Or any jobs at Colleges/Universities?

Thanks!

Valdosta State University is there, and I'm sure they hae their open positions posted on their website. Any other large organizations there likely do the same.

Out of curiosity, why Valdosta? It's not exactly a hotbed of activity, so finding a job may not be very easy.

Why Valdosta?

B/c it is where my b/f, soon to be fiance, is stationed and we are tired of living 8 hours apart.

I'd love to move to a place with better job options, but he can't move. So I'll be moving to GA to be with him!

My wife just got a job in Valdosta and she is moving down on the 22nd and I will remain in SC until June when the kids out of school.

I will also be looking for a job but more importantly looking for a house in the area.

What areas should we be looking in?

There are lovely homes in Valdosta, but there are towns very close in proximity. For example, Thomasville and Lakeland.

Hope you find a job as well, and a great place to live!

Wow, it sounds like we are all interested in the same things...moving to Valdosta, looking a home, and a job.
