Default Moving to Rabun County

I will be moving to Clayton in the summer of next year. We have a vacation home just outside of Clayton (Persimmon), however my husband feels that moving to Clayton from Ft Lauderdale is a good move. We have three small children (two in elementary school). I am concerned how we will fit in a small town, coming from a big city. After reading some posts, I see that locals are not very accepting of transplants. Anyone from Clayton have any input?
