Blairsville, Hiawassee, Clayton, or Young Harris are worth looking into.

Default GA compared to FL

In doing extensive research to get out of Florida, I am not finding too much input regarding taxes in GA. I know there is a State income tax (what %) and from what I have been able to find (from previous posts), the property taxes are not much lower. In some cases, it appears they are higher than FL. I must not be looking in the right places. Is there a web site from the State of GA that would provide tax information? I tried to google it yesterday and got nothing but junk coming up.

The posts here sounds very positive and I was wondering what the people from FL found in GA regarding taxes. How does it compare? What are you doing for work? Is everybody retired? The price of housing looks great compared to other places we've been looking.

Any help would be appreciated. We are looking from Ringgold to Blainsville.

Thanks,

Paula

State income taxes are pretty low -
property tax varies (greatly) depending upon what county you are in.

Look here: Georgia Department Of Revenue

Me and my husband are from michigan, we are looking in the ringgold area, from what you have posted, Ringgold seems like a good town for families? Good schools? My son is a junior in high school and i just want to make sure he gets a good education for the rest of his time. how is the hunting and fishing? My son will want to know. Are jobs plentiful? I do medical billing?
