THe Tyson Chicken Factory in Cumming, Georgia is facing a national case, where PETA sent in a private investigator and found workers to be urinating around the live chickens, and throwing live chickens back and fourth across the plant like toys.

And what does this have to do with the OP's question regarding finding someplace that serves fried fish?

Anniston. 2 "n"s. Anniston is not far from the Georgia line...come on over! I promise you won't get cooties by coming into Alabama.
BUT, the best fried catfish and hushpuppies are found at McCollum's in Decatur, Alabama.

Try the Fish and Pig in Macon. They are on the lake and have a deck and outside service. Sitting on the deck is very nice during good weather. They also have some tables inside next to big windows so you can see the lake while eating if you don't want to go outside. Unfortunately not open on Sunday.

I don't think they have a website, but the restaurant is owned by two well known men who own other restaurants in Macon.

This restaurant serves catfish, different kinds of shrimp and other fish as well. They also have smoked turkey and I think barbecue. I know they serve hushpuppies, but since we don't care for hushpuppies, I can't tell you if the hushpuppies are any good or not.

Very casual restaurant, nice waitresses and VERY friendly owners. If you have kids, bring them along and they can toss food to the fish (the restaurant hangs over the water and you can see the fish going after food) as well as feeding the ducks and geese.

Oprah went to the Fish and Pig when she came to Macon, and I was only stating it, I heard it on the news, and just wanted people to be aware.

There is a place in Hiram on the west side of Atlanta. I think its called the Catfish Den. It was very good several years ago.
