Default Target in Bainbridge, GA

Hi Everyone, I am new to the Bainbridge, GA area and have heard some rumors about a Target and other retail/restaurants coming to the area. Is this true? Where can I find out this info?

Have not heard about Target, but I doubt it will come anytime soon. The population of Bainbridge is below what Target looks for. Also it is important to note that Bainbrige JUST got its very first Wal-Mart 2 years ago.

I grew up in Bainbridge, and I still have a great deal of family there. Bainbridge is an ok town, but it just cant support to many big stores, Walmart will do fine but only because Kmart is/has shut down. Home Depo will eventually shut down Stones, and every grociery store we get either fails or shuts down a different store and so on and so on......The fact is Bainbridge is just too close to Tallahassee to support many things, look at "the mall" (if you want to call it a mall). People in Bainbridge dont mind the drive to Tallahassee, when I was younger we drove their almost every weekend (it got us out of Bainbridge, lol). So I doubt you will see a Target or anything similar to Walmart there for a very long time. Hope this helps.

I hope they don't get a Target. Bainbridge is a great town, and I'd hate to see it caught up in the sprawling mess of super-stores that plague most Georgia's small towns and cities (Bainbridge has a character of its own similar to Dothan over in AL, its distance from an Interstate highway has allowed it to maintain its unique identity).
