renting an apartment in Duluth, Ga with a previous eviction (apartments, rent)

Hello All,

I recently moved to Duluth, Ga from New Orleans and I'm currently looking for an apartment I had an eviction early last year from my home in New Orleans after being off work for a few months. I'm here in Duluth now with a great making a nice salary but I applied for an apartment and I was denied because of my previous eviction that showed up. I don't to keep going to numerous of places and it shows up so does anyone know where in Duluth I can go and rent and apartment?

Demand for apartments is really high right now, so it is a landlords market.

Worse case scenario rent a condo from an individual using classified ads or move in with a roommate that already has an apartment.

You might do better in the older apartments and you might want to see if there is a way to work things out (ie. paying last months rent up front, in addition to your deposit). That means they take less risk and get an extra months rent if they have to wait out the eviction process with you.

Also, call around and talk to them up front rather than just apply. You know it will show up later, so it isn't going to hurt your chances.
