Default Help! What's the best areas to visit in Georgia

Hello everyone! We are thinking about moving to Georgia. We will be visiting the Decatur, Georgia area. We do not have any family there. We will be staying in a hotel and we basically want to visit the areas that we are interested in Moving to. We are interested mainly in Decatur, Lithonia, Stone Mountain, East Point areas.

When we visit we will not have a car until the last 2 days that we are there when we will be looking at possible homes. We want to stay in a hotel that is near restaurants, stores and that is basically walkable during our stay.

What is the downtown decatur area like? are there hotels, chain restaurants close together that u can get to without a car?

Are there any restaurants and hotels near Dekalb Mall? Or which Mall in that area is accessible without a car?

All info provided will be most appreciated.

Thanks everyone!
