My husband and I are thinking of relocating to Gainesville Ga from Miami. We have been to this area a few times and really enjoy it. In the past, we were focusing on high schools. This is no longer the case since we will wait 3 more years for our last child to finish high school. We don't really know of any other areas. We prefer an area that doesn't require all citizens to be bilingual just to make it through the day. I am a nurse but am planning on retiring if possible or working part-time. I would appreciate any suggestions of other areas. We would probably be looking for homes between $500,000 to $800,000 near a lake.

I am a Realtor, I live in a smaller town about 12 miles south of Gainesville called Flowery Branch. The Atlanta Falcons practice here in town and several players live in the area. Sterling on the Lake is a great option for a swim/ tennis community. The community will eventually have 1000 homes, a new library opens this month as well several new stores and restaurants support this neighborhood. Target, Kohls, Home Depot, Pet Smart, Chilli's, etc. The builders in the area are offering incentives for new construction. Homes range in price from 200k to a million. Please feel free to contact me if you have additional questions. ( I also have a working knowledge of Buford, Oakwood, Gainesville, Chateau Elan etc.) jlf0220@AOL.COM
