Kiachu is on a distinguished road
Default So I finally made it to Marietta

I must say. I did a little visit before I moved here and thought the strip malls were out of control but I didn't realize just how bad it was until I actually had to start driving around a lot. Its like its nothing, homes, strip malls, nothing, homes strips, over and over again. Marietta square is the only thing I've found interesting so far. Anyone have any suggestions where I could go to maybe find something interesting. Like a bar with good food and music, a restuarant thats not the Waffle house or Applebees. Somewhere nice I could take my husband for Valentine's day?

I presume you are somewhere in Cobb County. If you don't like the restaurants on the square, there are some lovely local ones in Kennesaw and Acworth. Trackside Grill is in Kennesaw. Fusco's in Acworth would be fun for Valentines -- it's Italian and the staff is very, very friendly. Be sure and call for reservations. If you are in east Cobb, I would try some of the restaurants in the historic district. Roswell is a charming place.

Dixie Tavern off of Windy Hill, if you want to go a lil North head to Cowboys.

Off of Barret Parkway in Kennesaw/75 there's a Fondu place near the AMC, fairly popular. We went last year but I forgot the name. Very nice, kinda pricey!

Off of Windy Hill there's Papa Deax, I've been there on Valentines day before
