Default Job outlook in NW Ga?

I have many years as a legal assistant; DH is in the transportation (big truck) field. What kind of job potential is there in the NW corner of GA? Thank you for any input you guys can provide.

If you're talking NW as in outside the metro Atlanta area, there's not much opportunity. There will be small lawyers offices, but nothing in the way of big firms. The same goes for trucking- probably some smaller firms, but no big distribution hubs or anything. Now, if you get into the Atlanta metro area, the opportunities for both fields improve dramatically, but that comes with tradeoffs, of course.

Bob...Thanks for the info. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this. We came back down to GA, looking around some more. Will be back down next weekend. I keep forgetting how big an area "NW GA" encompasses. We are looking way up in Chickamauga, LaFayette areas. Love, love, love it up there. I would not be opposed to going into Chattanooga to work as I guess it is the nearest big city. Told the DH he should look into Shaw Industries. Saw a plant right there in Chickamauga. Do you know if the school systems in GA require substitute teachers be degreed? Here in NC, as long as you are at least 18 and have a HS diploma, you can sub. I have subbed for a few years and really enjoy it although the $$ is not as good as legal work. Thanks again for your info. Really appreciate it.
