Default Favorite GA State Park

What is your favorite state park in Georgia and why?

Mine would have to be Cloudland Canyon (and I'm probably not alone). It is absolutely incredible during the fall foilage season.

I am huge , long time fan of Vogel State park near Blairsville. I loved going there as a kid and now love seeing my kids enjoy the park as much as I did at thier age.

Tallulah Gorge is beautiful. It doesn't even feel like Georgia, but rather like someplace out west.

we just did tallulah this weekend it was awesome.

Amicalola and Cloudland look awesome as well... quick, if you had to choose between the two, which would you choose? In terms of... hiking, swimming, natural beauty... etc.

Agreed...great park.

Okefenokee (Laura Walker State Park) gets my vote, though.

Vogel St. Park... it's really a shame that it's become synonymous (at least in my head) with Meredith Emerson. That poor girl - I think about what happened to her a lot. I'm sure Vogel State Park is beautiful... but I don't know. Personally, I don't think I could visit there just yet. I'm odd.

So, which should be my next place to visit in N. Georgia - Unicoi, Amicalola Falls, or Cloudland Canyon?
