Default Snellville, Grayson, or Loganville...working in Covington

I am considering a move to GA from Stamford, CT. My job would be in Covington, GA. I have two young children so schools are important. I need to be close to shopping and the like, good school system and no more than a 30-35 minute commute. Any ideas? Or suggestions?

I have a house for sale in Covington Ga. in Lochwolde. It is 4000+ sq. feet on 1.79 acres. It is priced way under appraised value and i am very eager to sell it because we now live in SC. Lochwolde has a swimming pool, tennis, lake, and walking trail. When we lived there my daughter went to Young Americans Christian School and we loved it. If you are interrested please call.

Try the Loganville/ Monroe area. Stay out of downtown Monroe. You can get to Covington from this area in 20 minutes. I don't know about subdivisions in Covington, however, you can get alot of house for your money in Monroe/ Loganville. Try Forest Brooks subdivision in Loganville. Wish you luck!

Well, I am relocating to Covington as well. There was a recent double homocide there and I still have not been able to find updates on why or who did it, so it is scary. Also, what grades are your kids in. Look at greatschools.com and that will provide lots of information. I am looking to for employment there as well. Is your company hiring...I am in the administrative sector.

Not sure about the hiring until I get down there and evaluate the business for possible reorganization. As far as the crime, it is a bit unnerving. We will be moving from one of the safest cities in the US, Stamford, CT. That is very important to me. It's funny but the Northeast seems much safer than many areas in the South (ie. Atlanta metro area).
