I'm looking to relocate and I'm considering GA. I'm looking for opinions on towns to go check out. employment is not a concern, what I'm looking for is a small old town feel, lots of old homes, will be looking to buy and old victorian with some land, friendly people, litlle bit slower feel, nice country roads. Dont want a town thats too small nothing under 1000 people.

Try Augusta
Augusta is the second largest city in Georgia (200,000 residents), but light years away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. You'll find a beautiful victorian here for between $200K and $300K. Finding a victorian on land is the problem. In the city, you might find a quarter acre if you're lucky and willing to pay for it. Milledgeville, Thomson, Athens, Madison, Washington, and any suburb of Atlanta that is at least 50 miles outside of the city will probably be options as well. Good luck!
