Hey guys, do you know of any place to go for a walk in Warner Robins/Centerville GA?
I am not looking to make a long drive to a state park or something like that-- just somewhere I can go to for a couple of hours on the weekend to get some air...
Just where I live (near Centerville mall), there is nothing but shopping/restaurants and it seems like the only place a person could go for a walk would be the parking lot...
Thanks a lot!

What a mistake!!
Gosh did we make a mistake moving from the Athens area!!We moved to Maine on the Canadian border. We both are used to snow and cold weather, but not the RUDENESS of these Mainers. They are Horrible!!!Lucky our house did not sell. We will be heading back soon, and hope this house sells here. I love the sweetness of the Southern people and hope to get the heck out of this cess pool ASAP!!!! The PEOPLE in Maine SUCK!!!!!!

Having lived in Georgia all of my life, it about killed me to move to Alabama a few years ago... I'm a georgian true and true, so naturally I don't enjoy living here, but the laws are so different, and the people are so ignorant, most likely due to the fact the state school system sucks... I normally don't spend that much on my licenses in GA, not AL, a license and test cost over $50!! As a word to the wise... If you ever have to move out of Georgia, don't move to alabama... the people here ARE as bad as you hear... As for me, I plan on moving back to GA in a few months and get out of this sorry excuse for a state!

Bless your heart magz. You go on back home now, you hear? I think you'll find that things are not quite like you remember.

Buford is a suburb of Atlanta, about 40 miles northeast of downtown.
It is a nice place, growing fast, very suburban in nature. They do have a little historic downtown along the train tracks. It is also very near Lake Lanier.
Great place to raise a family. A single person in their twenties would be bored, though.

Sorry you couldn't fit in with Mainers but it's a give and take and you wouldn't give to try and fit in. Many people tried to befriend you and no one was rude to you but you wanted things to be the way they are in the South and Maine isn't like that. People tried to help you with a job, took you to lunch, drove you around the area and in short tried to be helpful and friendly and the above post is how you treat those that tried to help you? Pitiful, just pitiful.

Really, they have been nothing, but helpful and friendly to me. Not to mention going out of their way to help you and many others get settled, answer moving questions, etc. This is sad that you would hop on here and slam people. TSK, TSK!

The truth is that a chosen few run the Maine forum like they own it. I was treated rudely, but I really don't care. What are you talking about, people driving me around, helping me get a job?? You don't know what you are talking about. I was never "driven around". I was never "helped getting a job" I have a job. No one helped us ""get settled" Get your facts straight.
