There are 4 high schools, 3 of them covered under 2 systems- Dublin city and Laurens County. The 4th high school is Trinity Christian. The city population of East Dublin and Dublin is approximately 20,000, and a total of 50,000 in Laurens county.

You will be located 2 hours from the Atlanta airport and 2 hours from the port of Savannah ( the halfway-point provided by access to the interstate system via I-16). There are several large distribution warehouses in Dublin: Best Buy, Perry Ellis, and Farmers Furniture. There are several international industries with Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Israel, and Japan represented in the industrial parks.

Shopping is located downtown and a small mall with Belk’s, Office Max, TJ Maxx, Farmers Furniture, Shoe Department, Starbucks, Mattress Firm, Hibbett Sports, etc. There is also a Home Depot, Wal Mart, Ollie’s, and Rose’s.

Restaurants include Longhorn, Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday’s, Chic Fil A, Zaxby’s, Deano’s Italian, Company Supply, Saltwater Fishery, Your Pie, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Little Caesar’s, etc. There are two of each fast food locations (one for interstate and one for in-town) which are McDonald’s, KFC, Arby’s, Burger King, Subway, Zaxby’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, etc. There are 4 Japanese restaurants, 3 Chinese, 5 seafood, 2 Italian, and 87(jk) Mexican!

There are more patients served through the local private hospital, Fairview Park, than through the VA.

Check rental listings through Zillow, Century 21, or Curry Rentals. Few rentals exceed 1,000/month. If you consider this area a “small town”, I would advise you to remain in a metro area, since that sounds like a strong preference based on your phrasing. (Answered on your previous post)
