I have a 2008 dodge with everything the cruise had to be at least 67 miles an hour . I was in no hurry and have plenty of time now that i am retired .
We must have different definitions of "hurry" ... I won't be retiring for over 20 years yet, probably, and yet I don't see myself going faster than 62-63 in a 55 zone. It just ain't worth it. In rural areas I don't know, I tend to lock it at 58 and enjoy the scenery.

They can't even issue you a ticket for 62 in a 55..... unless they pace you

If they have you on radar or laser, they absolutely can give you a ticket for as much as 1 mph over the limit. Now that might open them up to questions about calibration and present reasonable doubt, but they can certainly give you a ticket if they want to be a-holes.

That is US 280. US 82 is further south near Eufaula and Albany.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but I-95 in Southern Camden County, just before the Florida line (Around Kingsland and St. Marys) is pretty bad. Cops sit in the median all the time.

GA is bad when it comes to speedtraps. You don't have to go far on any GA road/highway to find one. I remember one time driving to Savannah. On the stretch of I-16 between Macon and Savannah there had to be between 5-10 speedtraps some like only a couple miles apart. I'm constantly on the expressway in GA and many of the other eastern states and while I haven't seen it as bad as that(well I also haven't driven to Savannah since than) again, Georgia definetly have to be one of the top state for speed traps. Only state that's worse than GA is VA. They say Cali is bad too but I driven there(not recently) on couple occasions and didn't seem bad or maybe I just didn't notice. In my case I don't have to worry, because I rarely speed. The only case its a given that I go a little over, is in 55 zones on the expressway because no one ever is doing 55.

You must have driven 16 on a holiday or something. I almost never find any cops on I-16. Maybe 2 out of 10 times...and when I have, it's been in either Laurens or Treutlen County.

Alapaha,Ga. is a town run by blacks who make their living off of speed/traffic tickets So be wary of this little bully town of about 600 with police sitting at both ends of town.Located on US 82(SR520) and 129.

We appreciate the info, but I can't see what race has to do with this.
