on 441 north entering Rabun County at the north side and south side they are cops working overtime,They are building a new road through there and I read a post on city-data.com saying they should build a by pass around that whole speed trap.Having to slow down to 35 mph on an open US highway like 441 is uncall for.
Although I have no problem with people speeding on interstate highways, I have a big problem with people speeding through the middle of small towns like Clayton and Dillard. Just because 441 was funded with federal dollars, doesn't give people the right to destroy towns by racing through them. I applaud these police officers for handing out tickets to people speeding through their towns.

All Jackson County cities with police are speedtraps. The worst are probably Pendergrass and Arcade, but Braselton and Maysville are bad as well. Also look out for Jefferson and Commerce.

A Speed Trap is when you are going the speed limit or less and still get pulled over and fined.
in the 50' a small town cop would go 4 miles out of town, to US 301 to "ticket Yankees". He only had a cardboard sign taped to the side of his 'Police car'
especially good for a little extra cash before Christmas

If you are speeding then SOL I hope you can afford it!

Sure ppl shouldn't speed.. but that's not what speed traps are trying to curb... they are simply revenue streams for these small towns. HWY 82 is a 4 lane divided hwy... a type of road where the speed limit should be atleast 55mph.. and for the most part it is.. but suddenly the speed limit drops to 45mph in these tiny dots on the map.. that's a speed trap. Imagine driving on an interstate highway where the speed limit suddenly dropped to 45mph out in the middle of nowhere.. that's pretty much what's happening here.
speed traps aren't about public safety but rather collecting taxes.

Peachtree City, in total, is a complete moving vehicle violation enforcement zone. It's cute how they'll sit in a left turn lane, signal on, but funny, they never turn, no matter how many times there's a clear shot . . .
