To be accurate, President Trump is not the de facto casino owner, but has leased his brand to the actual casino owners.

Good God, people, whatever happened to critical thinking? Instead all we get these days is the same tired old demagoguery.

Why does Atlanta need a casino? It would only drain from the local economy. A casino only makes sense for Georgia if it is put somewhere near the border, so it would chiefly draw people from outside the state. No one is going to get n a plane and fly to Atlanta to go to a casino downtown.. NOt when you have places like Las Vegas. I am not opposed to casino gambling, but I do believe it should be regulated, and Atlanta is just the wrong place to put a casino.

good. it would absolutely RUIN savannah. HUGELY BIGLY opposed to casinos in my town. Vegas? Sure do whatever. I really don't care to regulate anything if it's not needed. But casinos .. Not my town. No way. I already wrote multiple letters. that would put Savannah in the crapper. They were slavishly drooling to put sprawling crap in Savannah, I'm sure. Well, good. shut this down quick before this cockroach moves too much!

I agree.. Savannah is also the wrong place for something like this. Savannah already has a vibrant tourism industry. It does not need a casino to draw in tourists. The only places where I could see a casino making sense is I-20 at the GA/SC line at Augusta (Augusta does not draw many tourists aside from The Masters), I75 at the GA/TN border just south of Chattanooga. Columbus, GA.. like Augusta, does not have a thriving tourist economy.. this could help. I/85 at the GA/SC border near Lavonia.. would draw ppl from Charlotte, and Upstate SC, I75 at Valdosta.. could capture people travelling to and from Florida.. same with an I/95 location in Camden County just above Jacksonville.

That's a rather broad and groundless statement.

I agree and would have no problem regulating it, even to the point where it was designed to benefit the more economically challenged areas of the state.
