Yeah, I know it's more expensive than renting but I simply don't want any long term apartment renting and any short term would probably be at least 6 months, and no furnishing neither. Hence, motel accommodating seems the only option right now.

Currently, I'm in Valdosta, since I'm currently not driving, it's very inconvenient to shop and get around. I don't mind other city at all. And of course anywhere I go and stay needs to have wifi for I can't live and work without it.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Cab would be too expensive, any idea as to finding a ride quickly from Valdosta to Augusta other than CL? Thanks.

Be aware that the cheap motels on Gordon Hwy are pretty nasty. Mostly a lot of meth heads, prostitutes, and registered sex offenders stay in them since many rent by the week or month. There's also not really much to walk to either in that part of town other than pawn shops and liquor stores

How about an Air B&B or VRBO ~ both of those offer a Lot of flexibility in time of stay, fully furnished, usually in appealing places and can be cheaper than hotels (I've been in some for $40/night when the local roach-motel was $90/night).

As for wifi, I've yet to do AB&B or VRBO that didn't have it, but unlimited cell service isn't too expensive. And if you need budget, there are cheap options like Freedom Pop, but you have to play by their rules (and in their service areas).
