Default Singles in GA

Anyone know areas of GA that are "single" minded. Not into the bar scene, but like a thriving artsy downtown........Historical places, and riverfronts!!!

Bookstores, coffeeshops and a walkable bikeable cities..........I do love Savannah, but heard the crime is unbelievably bad, along with the humidity and the bugs...How about other places that aren't too expensive.

Decatur might be a good fit for you if you're in your 20s, 30s, and even 40s.

The Vinings community of Atlanta fits your description to a tee. It has a small town feel unlike the rest of Atlanta due to strict coding laws. There can be some traffic during rush hour as many commuters use the strrets of Vinings to pass from Buckhead to Smyrna. The apartments are cheap with one bedroms costing between $600 and $700. But the condos and townhomes are from the 300s plus. The homes are typically from the 500s plus. If you can afford to move here, I would definately suggest it. Most of Vinings' population is 20 and 30 somethings who are professionals and are also quite affluent. Seems like the perfect place to meet that soulmate.

Hey, stvincent:

"The apartments are cheap with one bedroms costing between $600 and $700."

Is that true in Vining? I didn't mean to question that. But in Duluth, any acceptable one bedroom at least $750 for rent. Adding other fees, one bedroom is close to $800. Before I purchase my townhouse, I pay around $1000 for 2 bedroom one bathroom in Duluth.

I image that Vining is much wealthier than Duluth since it is so close to city and costs so much in buying. Why is rent so cheap there?
