I am looking for Route 2 in Lakeland.
It doesnt seem to be on any map that I try to research.
Any help?

I don't know if you found Rt. 2 but as a new comer in Lakeland its better to ask for specific things you are trying to find - and directions can be very interesting too. Just go by the red barn by where the Smith's house burned 30 years ago and then take the second dirt road!

Well I think for someone who doesn't know the area that well Rt 2 is pretty specific; but, Rt 2 covers a large area similar to a zip code and includes many, not just one road. The only way to find something on a Rt in rural areas is to speak to the address owners or someone at the PO that works that Rt. With only 8500 or so people in the entire county and still having unnamed roads and/or roads that change simi-frequently for crops it is the easiest way for the rural residents to be located. I say name the roads and put up street signs; but, the cost of maintenance for the signs in rural areas would raise already high tax taxes & certainly cause residents to hate thier politicians even more.
