My husband and I are wanting to move to Georgia soon. Where are some good places to live? What about Valdosta, Nashville ga ,Tifton, adel? is there a crime rate. I am aware that there is some racism there. We are going to buy a home and need a place that has good employment and hopefully low crime. Let me know thanks.

Coastal GA is Vastly different than "southern" GA....

OP, where is your income? If you're a farmer, you'll fit right in Anywhere (it is farmland almost exclusively)... if you expect to make a living at a desk, you'll Have to pick one of the towns/cities. Hope you like it HOT and humid, because that's what you're going to get for ~10 months of the year (3 seasons in GA, summer, December and January ~ up north you get a 4th season, November)... 80F on Christmas is pretty common where I am, and I'm at the norther end of "South" GA.

Why GA over any other state? Especially south GA? There's not exactly a big draw, no real reason to be there other than that's where you were born and you can't afford to get out (or can, but stay/return because of family). I know there are reasons, but they don't number very high and it's just weird to see someone post (as their very first on C-D) that they want to move there.

No one lives in South Georgia other than people who are born there and can't afford to leave.

You satisfied the 2nd condition... you choose to live in Coastal Georgia, which is south of Atlanta but not even remotely close to South Georgia.

You might want to face-palm a few more times, see if there's any sense left to knock loose. Seems like yours has gone AWOL.

Default where is a good place to live down south if you have 6 kids and a husband

Where is a nice place down south to live with a big blended family. We live in California and it's very expensive here. We want something southern. I grew up in Louisiana and learned manners. We need a place with affordable housing(we are ready to buy a home),a place with lots of jobs and LOW crime rate. Let me know.
