From your description I’m assuming that you must live in Geauga county or somewhere similar in NE Ohio. It’s going to be very difficult to find something similar in metro Atlanta that has that much of a rural feel, that level of safety, and be that close to all of the big city amenities. You will end up having to live much further out. Other than the weather, those rural townships east of Cleveland are some of the nicest places to live in the country.

And again, it depends a lot on where you will be working. You don’t want to live south if you’re working on the north side.

You nailed it. We had considered moving out further into the Geauga area, or flipping to the West side, but ultimately have decided that the weather just isn't working for us any longer.

Agreed, but this is not a parameter for us.

If you’re flexible and work from home then definitely take a look further out. Where I live in Milton I have gigabit fiber - stable and fast internet will likely be a factor for you.

But in some of the more outlying areas with a lot of property you may be more limited in your choices.
