Info. on Thomson
Are the people friendly in the area? my daughter is moving to warren county soon. and we want to also move in 5 yrs.we want to buy acreage near where she will be so we are going to start looking now. How's the weather in the summer and winter months? We are going to check out land in Glascock County is the country side nice?Any hills in the area? I'm tired of flat land here in Fl.looking for a change.Do you recommend any towns that we should check out near warren.thanks for any info.

well if i were u
I would atleast look at mcduffie county it borders warren and glascock.Thomson is the city in mcduffie it has more to offer than warren or glascock. If u live in warren or glascock you will be driving to thomson or augusta any way to shop and eat. There is nothing wrong with warren or glascock counties but if i were i u i would rather live in mcduffie county.Mcduffie county is starting to grow and has more to offer.Yes the people are very friendly here. You need to come and check things out and talk to folks. The winters here vary sometime we have mild winters but we also have cold winters sometime with ice or snow from time to time. Here u will have four seasons in fl i doubt u have that.Just curious what part of florida are u from?Goodluck i think u will love the augusta area.

I'm just learning to use this forum pg. I typed a response already but I think I lost it.so forgive me if it duplicates some How o.k. We will check out thomson for sure.sounds good. also 4 seasons sound great.I like the snow my husband is not a fan of snow but I'm sure it's not a lot of snow right? just mild? How far is gibson to thomson?Hows the jobs in the area? do most people work in Augusta? We are from Ft. Myers area things are really developing here to much for us we love the quiet country life can't wait to move to Ga.My other question any hills in area?I hope I love the hills. Thanks again for the input.

The area has rolling hills. not real big tho. augusta is a nice town and you will enjoy all it has to offer. you get very little if any snow. no accumulation. good luck and enjoy the friendly people. you will only be 2 hours from the smoky mountains.

we get accumilating snow/ice on occasion. The winters can be diffrent here we have warm winters and sometimes we have cold winters either way it will be colder than what u get in ft myers florida.I think u will love it hear.Thomson is not far at all from gibson or warrenton.I just personally think yall would be happier in thomson but that is your decision to make im not a real estate agent by no means im just trying to help u.Thomson has a website its thomson-mcduffie.com.Ask me whatever u need to i will try to help u the best i can or i might be able to tell u who u need to contact.
