Default Athens subdivisions/adjacent cities

Hi -- I recently visited Georgia for the first time and spent my time looking up houses for sale then driving there to see the neighborhoods. Didn't usually love the actual neighborhood of the house for sale, but it seemed I'd drive down a few streets and then be in one I did love, so it worked out well.

Main area I was curious about around Athens was a subdivision I believe was called Hidden Lake (Hull?) I remember driving to a listing on Fox Hall Trail and then driving back a little further from the main road, and there was this lovely area of good-sized properties with very pretty homes and lots of trees. Nothing for sale of course! If anyone knows anything about this area, I would appreciate it (prices/ages of homes, general atmosphere, etc.) There seemed to be a surrounding area of smaller lots that was still nice, but I really fell in love with this little neighborhood tucked back into winding streets with tons of trees. One street name was Hidden Lake, I think the other main one I saw was Crystal something or other.

Also if you know which area this is and know of others like it in the Athens area, I'd love to hear about them! I don't have children so schools aren't so important; what is important is some proximity to shopping, low crime, larger lots (home size not so important) and quiet.

I appreciate any info so tell me about your favorite places, please!

thanks

Milledgeville, Ga. is not far from Athens (app. 60 miles). It has a subdivision exactly like you stated you liked. Big lots 1 1/2- 4 acres. Tons of trees, pines, hardwood, and alot of the most beautiful nature dogwoods.
It is located between 441 & 212. Small convenient fee, new development, all brick homes-not pricee, access to large pond, quiet, and convenient to stores. All the people are very friendly and look after each other especially when going out of town.
It's call The Oaks at Willow Lake.
