Groups to Belong to.. (Atlanta, Roswell: neighborhoods, school, live)

I'm moving to GA in June can anyone tell me about what groups I should belong to for parents, business, soccer, book, etc.

Where will you be relocating within the state of Georgia?

The municipalities/cities/counties have websites--that would be one place to start.

Libraries have book groups and so do some bookstores.

Parents network through school events and neighborhoods.

Soccer is popular and there are many leagues around the state.

If you are considering relocating to the Atlanta area pick up a copy of 'Creative Loafing' a weekly leisure guide which lists many interest groups and activities.

Takeahike, ideally I would like to have a business in Midtown or Buckhead. I'm not sure where we should live. For a short while we will be residing in Norcross (1-3 months until we figure out which area will work for us). But I want to check out Decatur, Alpharetta, Roswell, Marietta, & Duluth.
