Im sure Columbus is growing and will contiune too. But its not growing faster than Augusta.

Your metro area vs ours the numbers don't match up. Exactly what county in Columbus is growing so much faster than one in Augusta. Three most populated counties in each metro area.

Augusta- Richmond 200,000 Aiken 160,000 Columbia 112,000

Columbus-Muscogee 190,000 Lee 130,000 Russell 50,000
Actually Kia is not in La Grange, but it is in the city of West Point, two different cities. But you're kidding right?

? The last time I checked that $1,000,000,000 project will be located on Fort Gordon. Has the Federal Government decided to build in Augusta instead? No. Augusta, just like Columbus is benefiting from Federal Government job relocations and growth, which is a good thing. The jobs usually do not pay as much as their civilian equivalent, but they are more stable. The West Side of GA is happy to see something good happening in Augusta. But please do not turn this into an Augusta Vs. the rest of Georgia. No one wins.

For a reasonable fee I will prepare an objectitve summary of growth, income, etc
untainted by the spin of the chamber or the
facts missing or misquotes typical of newspapers.
