lol....perhaps you misunderstood what you read.
The only thing I commented on was the fact that someone acted like if it wasnt for "anti columbus" people Columbus would have more votes and the other cities would have less......
and I'm saying Savannah and Augusta are 30+ votes ahead Columbus and 20+ ahead of Macon......regardless if 5 or 6 people really dislike columbus thats not making up for the other 25+votes

Cities CAN look, feel, and have a faster pace than others, so what's not credible about pointing that out??? Especially in a thread about a next major city....you cant be too much of a major city without having atleast somewhat of an urban, fast paced feel.
Example...Atlanta and Boston are both major cities....but Boston looks, feels, is denser and more fast paced than ATL...giving it more of a "city" feel....What would be so bad about mentioning that, especially if its true...

None of these 2nd tier cities feel "fast paced" atleast not to me.. When I think of fast-paced cities I think of New York and Chicago. Downtown Atlanta is pretty dead after 6pm.. it doesn't feel all that fast-paced to me, for a big city.

ATL is of a slower pace then most of the other cities with similar metro size, especially up on the east coast.
As for the second tier cities or GA, when comparing them to larger cities, you wouldnt think of them any where near being fast-paced, but when only concerning the 2nd Tier metros of GA, Columbus doesnt appear to be as "fast" or "urban" as Macon, Savannah, and Augusta. I've heard others who feel the same way, and some dont, but its very noticeable to me, which is why I just cant consider the city a next major place in GA until they get something done about that.
Some people who promote Columbus get mad when I say that but its not really a knock, thats just how it feels to me.
As I've said before, with all of the supposed growth that is approaching there, I guess that sleepy feeling in Columbus will fade away, but as of right now, nah. I want the best for Columbus and all of the 2nd Tier cities so we can all gain more of our own identities instead of people just thinking "ATLANTA ATLANTA ATLANTA" everytime Georgia is mentioned.
