Yes, I have one planned for the area. If you know anything about development, the credit markets have tanked. Like I said again, get educated......

The Savannah River Pkwy is a complete Joke. Have you ever driven it? Through the most desolate areas of Georgia. I-3 (the Max Burns Parkway) is the biggest Porker, a true bridge to nowhere. However, if Augusta and Savannah were to meet, I would benefit greatly. But it aint gonna happen.

I agree. Where do people go for the spring and summer months in GA the coast. You have the islands and the beaches in Savannah. I-95 is one of the most traveled interstates in the US. Savannah is 2 hours away from Florida so it's not that far away from Atlanta either. The weather is warm too and the seafood down there is good. Sometimes people get tired of the same old place and opt for something different.

So I agree Savannah is a coastal city just like Charleston,SC is and Charleston's population has increase over the last 10 years. So yeah Savannah will probably be the next major city.

Their is so much contruction going on in our downtown and inner city. Besides's atlanta our sprawl is the worst. Even though thats not a good thing always sprawl. It shows how fast cities are growing. Making counties who were once rural built up. Augusta has the most surrounding counties relying on its city. Other than atlanta in georgia. That's why our population is twice the other cities.

i no the columbus metro airport has delta flights that flys from the columbus airport to the atlanta airport several times a day and columbus was talking about bringing united air lines to the columbus airport to but i dont no if it will still happen but before it happens they will have to make the columbus airport a lot bigger and make the run ways a lot bigger also

Middle Georgia Regional Airport -has been one of the considerations for some time now as a reliever airport for Hartsfield-Jackson, about a month ago Macon just add a new carrier you may have heard of them called Wings Airhttp://www.flywingsair.com with direct flights Atlanta and they are in negotiations with other major carriers.
Delta already services the airport as well.....

TBI Airport, Management Inc., has an agreement with the City of Macon, Georgia to operate both airports in Macon, Georgia: Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MCN) and Herbert Smart Downtown Airport (MAC). The agreement authorizes operation of the airports for a 10 year period, renewed annually. Middle Georgia Regional, situated on 1,149 acres, is a commercial airport with two runways and serving over 30,000 annual passengers. The Herbert Smart Downtown, situated on 245 acres, is a general aviation airport with two runways and serves private, corporate and executive jet aircraft. TBI is working closely with the City of Macon, Georgia, State DOT and the Federal Aviation Administration to ensure that Middle Georgia Regional Airport reaches its full potential.
