Hi
I love Peachtree City except that my husband has to commute to Midtown atlanta. I would like to buy a house but Not able to decide where to buy. I like Kedron School but houses are old. How about Cedar Croft??? Has anyone bought the home at cedar croft? Also Peachtree elementary schools . In this form couple of people expressed dislike about Peachtree elementary school. Can anyone tell me more about these? How are schools in Tyrone area? Does anyone know about schools and home prices in Tyrone area ? |

You may want to look at Newnan. I85 runs right through it. We relocated from CT to Newnan last year and love it. I could go on and on about why I love Newnan. You can search my previous posts on it or send me a DM and I would be happy to elaborate.

I live in PTC and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Newnan and Tyrone are not nearly as nice (IMO). I think PTC is worth the extra money. Cedar Croft wouldn't be one of my top choices. The lot sizes are awful, barren of trees, and some of the first homes in that development were modular. I don't think it is a good investment. Although the homes in Kedron are older, the lots are much, MUCH larger and the homes appear to be better quality (although some stand to need renovating). If you really want a newer home, I'd buy in Centennial (next to Cedar Croft), although the lots are still tiny. There are some resales in Centennial that will windup selling for the low $300s. Good luck!!!! Oh, btw, PTC Elementary is a good school. It is older and it has served some of the lower social economic groups in PTC, but starting next year a good percentage of those children will attend Kedron Elementary which I think will benefit all parties in the end.
