Question Want to know which cities are best in Henry County GA

I have family in Stockbridge and would like to know what surrounding cities are nice and would be good to move to? Thinking of leaving California and moving closer to family. I was born and raised in Ohio have lived in Calif. since 75. Could I like Georgia? HELP LOL

'mxdbrit' lives in Henry County and she might have some thoughts.

Henry County is just beyond the southern suburbs of Atlanta and probably has more 'peace and quiet'/rural areas but somewhat limited options for shopping, dining, entertainment.

Few ?'s about Henry County

I like the Northeastern area myself. Many people seem to enjoy living in GA. Some who move from the coastal areas of California really miss the Pacific Ocean, understandably. If LA style traffic is your 'thing' then you will love metro Atlanta.

I live outside of LA in Orange county not as congested, it's 45 minutes from me. I am 20 minutes from the beach and in 30 years have been there all of six times if that. It's not like Florida's Beaches where it's nice and blue green, at least not in my area. I don't do a night life that often to be that close to Atlanta. I like to be close enough to get there and far enough not to be in there. LOL
