Well I will agree that After Atlanta.. Savannah is the best known city in Georgia.
as far as Augusta being home to The Master's golf tournament and The Augusta National Golf club.. I think Bob Costas put it best "It's like the eiffel tower in the middle of a trailer park."

So your saying that Augusta isn't a hick town??? Hahaha

The Augusta National Golf Course and The Masters is well known.. not Augusta... you never see anything of Augusta outside the course during the coverage of The Masters... and for good reason... it's mostly a dirty, rundown city with very little corporate presence. YOu are right about Columbus.. look at all of the big companies headquartered there.. can't say that about Augusta.

A lot of people know about Augusta and not just for the Masters either. I know people who have heard of Augusta but didn't even know the Masters was played here.

You're the only person I have heard refer to it as Disgusta. And I don't take anything you say serisously because all you do is spread lies anyway. I have proved every lie you say wrong about Augusta but I never you see you come in post that you were mistaken so.

I didn't say no one else called it that. I just said He's the only person I have heard call it that. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't like Augusta. There are also plenty of people who don't like Atlanta, Columbus Macon or Savannah.

I am brand new to this website. I am extremely "computer stupid", so please tell me if I am supposed to be posting my questions somewhere else other than this "quick reply" box. Anyway, we currently live in Florida but are considering moving to Georgia. My husband and I have 2 children, 9 and 6. We are looking for a safe town, good schools, low crime, and good doctors/specialists close by. We visited Peachtree City in November of 2007. It was absolutely beautiful and we loved the concept of a "golf cart" community. The town was probably not built up as much as we would like, though. Some friends of ours are considering moving to the Alpharetta area and we would like to know what people think of that area? We heard it is a place to consider. Can someone give me some feedback?
