Just wondering why Jarvisteam said

3. College Park - Great place to go to college, not a great place to go to school or leave a car unattend

....What makes College Park a great place to go to college without even having a real college lmao? More hot air blown, dude doesn't really know anything about College Park besides seeing that the city is named "College Park" and assuming some nice sized university was there.

Macon is the worst. It stinks because of the paper mill. Its crime rate is worst then atlanta.

Wolfdaddy do you have any proof of this, or that Macon has a top 5 crime rate like you also claimed?

lol I swear people go to the extreme, If you listened to all of these people who love to hammer cities, you'd have to fit about 50 cities into the top 5, because I've heard about that many that are supposed to be in the top 5 according to the particular "city basher" making the claims.

Default Top Cities / Small Towns

Anywhere besides the ATL suburbs can be nice. Some of the older areas in N. Atlanta are okay, if you don't have to get on the interstate. Much of metro Atlanta is suburban sprawl, with most of the towns only existing due to the interstate. The ones that were actually towns (in the traditional sense) have been over run by highways and strip malls. Very pedestrian un-friendly and without much sense of community. IMOP

The best places to "live" in GA are walkable in plenty areas and have a good sense of everyday community, or if they are more rural, are very accessible to the beautiful outdoors.

Small Cities - Larger Cities:
1. Athens (downtown, five points, normaltown)
2. Atlanta (in the city, not the burbs!)
3. Savannah (in town)
4. Rome (downtown and old East Rome are great)
5. Decatur (practically part of beautiful eastside ATL)

Towns - Rural: (in no order)
1. St. Mary's
2. Madison
3. Cornelia
4. Young Harris
5. Cloudland

NW Albany is supposedly the "better" area of town. Look for zip codes 31707 and 31721. Bear in mind, however, that crime can happen anywhere, and that while your risk of being robbed at gunpoint in your own driveway may be LOWER in these areas, the risk is still there. And just be prepared for rude, unprofessional, crappy treatment at a LOT of businesses here. If you're white, that is. If not, you're fine.

Macon is one of the greatest cities in the south, no the world, and I know there will be people who object to this but thats a matter of there opinion. Fact is that Macon is the Cherry Blossom Capital, has some of the largest ammenties in the U.S. such as the Sports Hall of Fame, largest copper roof, home to the second largest commercial mall in GA, is the heart of Central Georgia, not dogging other up and coming cities and counties such as Warner Robins, Twiggs County, Bonaire, Fort Valley, and Monroe County. I will happily answer any of your questions or anything you throw out pickleswanson.

Mayor of Macon,

I'm consdiering a relocation to your area (Monroe Co. /Forsyth) While I will either work in Griffin or perhaps within Monroe CO. I'm excited about the possibllities. I look forward to learning more about the city via this forum.

Ok, here is my advice..If you like to live in fear then move to Atlanta, or any where near Atl...If you like rednecks then move to the North Ga Mountain area or Northwest Ga...Actually any rural area in Ga...You will not be accepte by these people unless you have had generations of relatives in these areas...Seriously, Atlanta is unsafe, for all living things...I suggest living in the outskirts Decatur, Virginia Highlands or even further away from Atl like Alpharetta or Roswell...The aforementioned areas are decent and you will not hear hip hop music 24/7
