Default Chrysler plant in Morrow Ga

Hello, my job is relocating me to the Chrysler plant in Morrow,Ga. My husband and our 4 children ages 5-11 years are moving from Detroit Mi. Where are the best places to live. I need to be somewhat close to my job. But, I want a good safe area and good schools for our kids.
Thank you in advance...

Default Try Henry county in the Union Grove School district!

Hey. The Chrysler warehouse is in Clayton county, and you will want to avoid
the schools there because they may lose their accreditation and the real
estate prices there have plummeted and the gang activity hasn't helped.
The Union Grove school district is only about a 25 minute drive from Chrysler
but well worth the effort. Henry county experienced a huge growth surge filling up the county with homes and McMansions which can now be purchased for less due to the excessive numbers of homes on the market
if you bargain well. I can't recommend any specific subdivisions, but all
price ranges are available. There's traffic. You can travel by interstate or on
backroads to work. Interstate 75 jams happen regularly.

My understanding is that Morrow is a small booming community.

Default Stockbridge has too much concrete and not as pretty/safe.

Most people in Henry want their kids at Union Grove schools, Luella schools
(further from your work) or Ola schools (further out too). Full of successful and happy kids who are going
places. Can rent 1000 bucks up a month all over the county and many of
the nicer houses can be rented because owners have moved and can't sell
them quickly. From Union Grove Schools to downtown Stockbridge is only
about a ten minute drive via Hwy 155 and Millers Mill Road. Trust me. lol

Go to greatschools.net and do a comparison of test scores. Henry country schools have generally good marks, though some are spotty. Commuting from Henry to Morrow can take anywhere from 15 min from Stockbridge to 45 min (in Traffic from Locust Grove area). Fayette County is another good option, but you will take back roads to get to work, so it is a bit father: 30-45 minutes is a good average commute.

Definitely avoid Clayton County. I would recommend Clayton if you are without school age kids, you then can get a good deal on a house as already mentioned, housing values have plummeted. Some asking prices are in the 30-40K range in near by Riverdale (these are not trashed houses either) Many went into foreclosure and the public school accreditation loss compounded the problem.
