Is this heaven, or is it Albany/Leesburg, GA? (living, cost of living)

You're funny! I would have said that Albany, at least, is where the devil walks his dog--and he's none too particular about cleaning up, afterwards.

I have to say I'm surprised too. From whart I hear, Albany is where the devil's mom sent him when he needed to be punished. What do you like about it?

FlourChild and Tdiddy0027- So I maybe slightly exaggerated, but I am happy to be here. Where I lived previously (Waukegan, IL) wasn't horrible, but it was far from family/relatives, and with the massive population/traffic jams, brutal winters, high cost of living, etc., it wasn't where I wanted to be long-term. So I get down here in the Albany/Leesburg area, and there's no more massive population/traffic jams, brutal winters, high cost of living, etc., and with it being just a few hours from family/relatives, it seems a lot closer to heaven than where I came from! For your sake I hope you're able to get outta here and back to 'bama sometime soon!

That explains a lot (the relatively high cost of living, and being far from family). Traffic here isn't anything compared even to Huntsville. I mean, people here are rude drivers, more so than Huntsville, but there aren't as many people, so that aspect evens out a little.

We're doing what we can to get ready to move. My husband's field is somewhat specialized, which makes the job hunt a little harder. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Jeff, I am very, very glad you're here and happy. I hope that Albany treats you right and that you enjoy it here. Some people really do.
