Thumbs up Alpharetta - the real story

Hi,
My husband and 3 children 6,9,&13 are hopefully going to be moving to GA this summer. His job is in Alpharetta so I guess the local commute isn't too bad but going to the airport takes how long ( up to 2 hrs ?). My children swim year round and I was very impressed witht the Dynamo swim program. However, we also enjoy summer swimming at ouir local swim club. Are there local swim clubs (where?)?

I am interested in Chattahoochee High School but my daughter seems to favor Milton. Any inforamtion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
B

Alpharetta is one of the most popular areas for transplants to move to. It's overall a very nice area, but it's congested. You will have to use "GA 400" (toll road) for your to/from Atlanta trips, and it's among the most congested roads in the whole region. If you have to travel it during typical rush hours, yes, it's going to get old. Off-peak, it's still crowded but not unbearable. And yes, it can take 2 hours (or longer) to get to the airport on GA 400 during rush, or if there are accidents, etc.
