Douglas Area housing and jobs (Jesup, Commerce: real estate, construction, moving to)

Ok I had posted a while back with a thread about moving to the Jesup area. Here is the deal...My husband is in construction, and I am a receptionist in the medical field. We are looking to move to the Southern Georgia area because my husband wants to be close to his daughter. We are actually thinking of the Douglas area. Can anyone tell me what the job situation is like in that area for Construction & the Medical field. Also what is housing like in that area.

Douglas is 18 miles north of Willacoochee and most Willacoochee people go to Douglas for their needs, etc.
