Default looking for an Ethnically diverse family friendly town

We live in Chicago and want to leave all the cold weather behind. I thought about Arizona but after visiting we decided that AZ is not a family friendly town. It is all about senior citizens. My husband chose ATL over Texas.

So where is a nice Ethnically diverse place to live in ATL? We would like a town or city that is supper FAMILY friendly. We have 2 kids (8 and 3) and plan to have more. I like for my kids to be able to go outside ride bikes, play hide-n-go seek, jump rope, play baseball with the other kids. Develop some great friendships with other kids who parents are active in their lives.

We love soul food, by this I mean greens, fried chicken, baked mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, peach cobbler and the like. Black people soul food. I watch Paula Dean and she be hooking it up but all that butter is too much.

My husband love mexican food. We have tacos every friday. I would love a community with a bike trail and a nice play ground. A town fair or two, a carnival all that family stuff. I also like the cookie cutter suburbia towns with all the large department stores (i.e. Walmart, Target, Staples, Borders, etc.)

Any suggestions???????????????? We like it hot we do not want any snow or very very little. We got enough in Chicago to last us a life time.
