Although I am not a dancer, I believe there is Ballroom dancing here in Columbus.

For a city of just over 100,000 ppl, Athens is considerably diverse.. not just racially but economically.
The black population is right around 30% which is the state average.. compare that to city's like Augusta and Macon where the black population is over 50%.
The asian and Hispanic population of Athens is twice the state average. Certainly it's not as diverse as Dekalb or Gwinnett county, but it is more diverse than the average city in Georgia, even ones larger than Athens.
Is Athens the Greenwich Village, no.... but as a town with a very large university it has a natural diversity that other town its size simply don't have, and you see this reflected in the vibrant music and arts scene in Athens.

DISGUSTASUCKS:

Thank you for the one up on Athens. Are housing costs and rent about $1000.00 to $1200.00 per month for a 3 bedroom home? I want to Rent before buying...I have read conflicting views on Athens and Columbus. Where is the Albeit neighborhood in Atlanta? Is it really that great to move to? If so, what type of housing do they offer in that area??
