Default possible relocation from NC

Hi,

I am considering applying for a promotion, one opening in Athens and the other in Cummings. So, I am interested in finding out some information on great places to live and raise a family in or around the two areas. An excellent school system is very important, as well as a very low crime rate. We are Native American, so an area that we would feel welcomed in is also a key requirement. Any information I can get is welcomed. Thanks!

You will fit in in either city. I'm not very familiar with the school systems of Athens, but Cumming has excellent schools. Both cities have lower crimes than the state average. The southern portion of Athens has some very nice neighborhoods to raise you family. Pretty much all of Cumming is nice. Hope this helps.

I am also currently assessing Athens as a possibility for relo, and my first school data seems to indicate that you would not want to be in Athens/Clarke County if you want an excellent school system. My sources say that many people buy in the Watkinsville area (just south of Athens) for the different school system (Oconee County).
