are you referring to the posh buckhead in Atlanta or the podunk buckhead out in the country?

Ahhh... I guess that would be the posh side, close to downtown Atlanta correct?

ya. All I can say is that it is amazing to visit. It's posh, has great shopping, dining and entertainment. You feel like a million bucks when you're there. It's very expensive to live there though.

Yes, but the one difference being that in some parts of CA you pay a million dollars and get a broken down shack that needs to be torn down and rebuilt, in Buckhead you can at least live in the house.

In some parts of Manhatten, you get a single 20x20 studio for the price of a large Buckhead flat.

I visit family in this area every couple years and it never ceases to depress me what the passing of time has wrought. The changes in Buckhead since the mid-seventies is mind-boggling. I guess thirty plus years does that to most places. I'd move back to the 70's Buckhead, not the 2008 version (although the food choices are better these days).

Thanks... are there areas to avoid in Buckhead?

Any good high rise rental locations that stand out over others, be it a condo or a loft?

I hear various versions of what the nightlife is, and some have said Buckhead is a dying area... what's your take on this?

Feel free to add any info in regard to restaurants, bars and the over all vibe... especially for someone who is single

Thanks again...
