Is Little Five Points an ok area? Found a few condos under $125,000 there and was wondering about the area. MSN Real estate listings show a lot of expensive homes in that area, also.

Little Five Points in Atlanta is a hip little neighborhood on the eastern edge of Atlanta (just east on DeKalb Avenue coming from downtown) next to Inman Park. It would surprise me that condos could be had there for under $125k, but you never know. One thing I would caution you on is that you are not looking at "Five Points" which is a downtown area that does not have much of a neighborhood feel and should definitely not be mistaken for Little Five Points.

Default It is Little Five Pts.

My daughter is trying to decide if she should buy there or move out of the perimeter. With gas, she'd rather live within. But wondering if it is a safe area for a young woman. THanx

My daughter lives in that area. There are a couple of very run-down apartment complexes that have recently gone condo conversion and they're asking $125-150 for them...you're paying for location.

Having said that, it is a very nice funky artsy area to live in, especially for 20-somethings.
