Cheaper booze than South Carolina? (Jackson, Jacksonville: to buy, tax, prices)

Going to Hilton Head in August and we are driving through Georgia. Would it be cheaper to buy our booze in Georgia? Is there a higher tax rate?

Where would it be cheapest? Do supermarkets sell beer and wine? Is there liquor stores that sell everything cheaper?

What's the deal? Never been to this state I heard soo much about.

Yes, supermarkets sell beer and wine. Yes there are some liquor stores that advertise on news paper that look like warehouse that sell everything cheaper.

Which direction are you coming from?
If you're coming up from FL, I would suggest Total Wine and More in south Jacksonville...it's an enormous beer, wine and liquor warehouse that has great prices. We've been making regular trips down there from St Simons Is., GA this summer for our hooch supply. There's also one in Columbia and Charleston, SC.
