Perry is a nice small city with great amenities for town of its size, but pay No attention to Bulldawgfan, Perry was just a little to close to Macon.

I was talking about Cochran... but Perry is nice also. Not a lot of people get shot or robbed in either.

Low cost of living, great roads, good schools. Everything is close too (stores, etc)

Perry has walmart and Publix now. I have lived in the area for many years and is a everyone knows everyone town. The school system is good although living in perry is like any other southern town quiet, some of the people of color that speak and are not shunned and a good mix of people. Perry is old money and good for my family.

My family own most of Cochran, that is not the town I would live in, it rates with Roberta, a town my family founded. There is nothing going on except for the local churches and if you are not Southern Baptist, where churches are segregated still, then you really don't fit in. The town is quiet, but the kids can get into much trouble, as well as adults. The police there are are like Andy Griffith shows in those programs so if going there and out of town, obey the law, Perry is that way too.
