Dunkin Donuts coffee runs rings around Starbucks.

Ya know the really sick part? I heard that there's a new High School being built in the Acworth area that's going to have a Starbucks in the school.

Teens on caffine. Driving cars to and from school. Um - yeah.

It won't be any worse than the 'energy drinks' that they're quaffing down by the bucketful

I'll have to tell you.. for the money, I prefer McDonalds coffee, especially over Dunkin Donuts. I like Dunkin Donuts coffee, but its nearly as expensive as starbucks. The new iced coffee drinks at McDonalds are quite good and the chain has redesigned many of their dining areas giving them a stabucks "third place" feel. Still I prefer Starbucks for espresso drinks...especially my iced espresso.. but for plain old iced coffee.. give me the golden arches.

Nope, still 3 others (Tom Hill/Riverside, Forsyth Road, & Presidential Parkway). The mall one closing is no surprise. The one on Bass was put up too soon (new development coming to the area, but slow to begin) and was also built on the wrong side of the interstate (same side as Bass Pro Shop but opposite of most residential development). Another location downtown (College & Forsyth St.) that was to be a Starbucks is now back on the market.

5 starbucks in Macon seems a bit much.. 3 is probably about right for that market.
