Question Places to live in Gwinnett County?!?!

I am relocating from California to Georgia within a month and have started hearing bad things about a city I was planning to move to. I am 21 and will be relocating with my mother and 10mo old daughter so I would like obviously a safe place to stay without any crime or "gang activity". What are the good/safe cities we should check out and what are the cities we should without a doubt stay away from in Gwinnett County?

Duluth, as far away from I-85 as possible.
Peachtree Corners
Suwanee
Sugar Hill
There, that's about it for Gwinnett county.

This is very narrow list. In Gwinnett as well as Cobb, Forsyth, and Fulton you go by the school district - becuase it is a suburb in the true sense. That said here's the list:

Brookwood HS Cluster (Snellville)
Grayson HS Cluster (Grayson)
Mill Creek HS Cluster (Hilminton Mill Area of Dacula)
Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee)
Collins Hill (Lawrenceville Suwanee)
North Gwinnett HS (Suwanne)
Archer HS (opening 2009) - Dacula/GraysonLawrenceville Area

Dacula HS (Dacula - it's rural)

Duluth (Duluth) avoid areas near apts.

I live in the Hamilton Mills area right now and I LOVE it here. I moved from S FL, so I grew up in the city life, but it's much different here. The people actually are friendly, the weather and scenery is great.
I would recommend Buford, Suwanee, and the newer parts of Flowery Branch and Braselton if that's what you like. If you like a busier hustle, then Snellville is nice (NO DEKALB COUNTY).

That statement pretty much destroys any credibility you might have had.

What it boils down to chelly, is that in Atlanta, I seriously doubt if you'd fine ANY suburb that does not have any crime or gang related activities. You're just as likely to hear about a home invasion near the Mall of Georgia, as you are in Midtown. The gangsta wannabes and criminals here have fancy SUVs - they drive throughout the metro area to do their stuff, then go home later.

That being said, some areas are worse than others. Gwinnett County has had a pretty large increase in crime over the last decade, but Suwanee is still considered a good area to live in. Some say, "Suburban country snob", but it's a good choice if you're having to stick to the Gwinnett area. Otherwise, possibly consider the town of Alpharetta in North Fulton.

I still stick by my first quote - you have to go by the school disctrict. Brookwood has the highiest SAT scores and is very nice as is the New Archer HS area (Grayson-Dacula).

Grayson HS Cluster (Grayson)
Mill Creek HS Cluster (Hilminton Mill Area of Dacula)
Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee)
