Ok...stop right here guys! I've been living here in Dalton GA my entire life! I am 16 years old, im a native here so I know more about here that most of everyone. First of all, Dalton isnt bad! We have a bit of everything here but it is not a bad place to live in. As for the gangs..as long as you dont mess with them they wont mess with you. All the gangs here are all little pussys who claim whatever they are the most theyll do to you would be to insult you. Its a great place to raise kids, you just gatta be into your kids, none of that **** where you dont ask your kids whats up thats what ****s them up! The schools here are good the teachers are good, the scores arnt so good. Nothing a little disipline can fix right parents? you just gatta be a good parent whos caring and willing to do whatever for the family to survive in Dalton Ga and thats all there is about this place.

Amen to all your replys. I moved here from Alabama a few years ago, and thought that I was going to need a passport just to go into Dalton. Walmart on Walnut is a joke. I have never been in a store where I was the only white person. What happened to all the black people? At least they did not choose to be here, and where brought here against their will to be slaves to lazy white people. The hispanics cross the border illegally, and in 2 months have a nice home, their own business, and a new car. Whites and blacks need to team together and take back our town and country from these leaches!!!!!!!!

wow, after hearing all of the comments about dalton, ga., i feel a little safer living in trenton, nj! i was born in chattanooga, tn. but raised in trenton, nj. trenton was a beautiful places many 'moons' ago but we are having so many gang problems here too. we definitely have seen a boom in the hispanic population as well as other nationalities. i personally have no problem with all of this but it is becoming hard to obtain employment because of these various nationalities looking out for their own first. but the caucasian population has been doing it for years, so don't get mad at others for following the pattern. as far as everyone suggesting chattanooga, it seems like each of you are trying really hard to push people out of dalton for one reason or another into chattanooga. if everyone follows the suggestions, chattanooga will soon be overpopulated as well with the same problems. the first few comments about dalton and chattanooga seemed genuine but after a while, it became all too clear that dalton locals would rather 'paint' their town as horrible to scare away anyone looking to move there. it is also transparent to everyone that suggesting chattanooga right away looked suspicious too. thanks guys and ladies but not everyone was born yesterday. have a good one!

I am in Chatsworth, Moved here from The NJ Shore area- All I will offer is Chatsworth Schools are pretty good. Both my Kids did EXCELLENT. The town is Tolerant to most folks- Heck they had 2 Yankees as Drum Major! The High School and Middle Schools (At least Mike Weaver, Lynn Infanger )Are superb teachers and Friends. I miss the great seafood, the Pizza SUCKS- But if someone came in with the Right equipment- they would be rich beyond their dreams. There are a few who's life wheels are stuck in the carpet mill mud- Some folks are very cliquey, But by in large- I pay Very good taxes, Compared to over 7000 a year (that's subtracting Schools, water and Car stuff) Here we pay maybe 1500, if you don't add car insurance.

Finally, I like the Police dept. they are pretty good at looking out for the residence, and the fire dept is awesome. So Cheap- good services ,Mostly nice folks and wonderful scenery makes Chatsworth a good pick in my book.
