Some of those have. Harold's, White House/Black Market, etc. have been here that long. Does Augusta have a Costco or Whole Foods Market yet? Who got those stores/restaurants you listed first? The very first Aerie store in the country was at Haywood Mall in Greenville, SC. Chop House: http://centraarchy.com/chophouse47/chop47-intro.html (broken link) Oh and our Ruth's Chris opens in October. Where's yours?

Augusta is supposed to get a Costco.. but Whole Foods, if they ever get one, will be WAY off in the future.

You're just now getting that stuff? What took you so long? Oh you don't believe we are getting a Ruth's Chris? This will say otherwise: S.C. Real Estate News: Ruth's Chris Coming to Greenville

Now I am not usually a big fan of chains.. but I will say that Ruth's Chris has some of the best steaks you will find anywhere. It's not cheap.. but is a nice once in a blue moon splurge.

Good steakhouses are hard to find.. Everyone in Augusta raves about Tbones.. which is actually a regional chain I think ( I know there is one in Athens).. but I was never impressed with it.. steaks were just so so.. they didn't "sizzle" when they came to the table and the atmosphere looked like a sports bar. Upscale dining is extremely sparse in Augusta. I guess you have to take what you can get.

They put the malls where the money is I would think.

There aren't too many malls in the atlanta metro area. That are more upscale than the augusta mall. Besides perimeter, phipps plaza, and lenox. Northpoint mall isn't more upscale than augusta mall.
