This sign may be one reason Augusta gets its nickname... Some vandals did this to the academy of richmond county sign... and still it has not been fixed.. it's been months now.

Thats not vandals but old paint on a high school sign. Why do you make stuff up? You continue to bump this thread and the smelliest city thread. You created a thread about a picture showing a old building in Augusta.

Got a laugh out of this old thread.
Actually wikipedia has a list of all the supposed city nicknames. I never realized Atlanta had so many. Some seem like they are made up though as I have never heard o them. I have heard of MacDaddy for Macon though.
Only the top two have I heard for Augusta: The Garden City and the less flattering Disgusta.
And come on Savannah.. you can do better than "Turf grass Capital of The World".

I seriously do not know how "Hotlanta" is not a choice here. Other than Disgusta, have never heard of the others. Bacon? Dumbus? Agony? Never heard of those nicknames...ever. Everyone has heard of Hotlanta though.

I don't understand how they get C-Port for Savannah. Wouldnt S-Port make more sense?
