Default I live in thomasville

Hello,
I wanted to reply to your post. I currently live in thomasville, georgia. Thomasville is a fairly small town but has grown tremendously since i was a kid. There are more businesses than what there was long ago. The economy here has gotten better. Thomasville has always been more of an industrial town. The jobs for men i feel is better than for women. For women all they can hope to get is into the healthcare field. There are plenty of doctors offices and archbald is one of the major hospitals here. As far as attractions go you can research that on the internet. We have a lot of roses here hence thomasville the city of roses. We have the annual rose show parade. We have the rose garden which is easy to find, plus numerous plantations in the area. There is also the Lapham patterson house which is a great house to go visit built back in the 1800's. Thomasville is a historic district. I forgot to mention the other numerous annual events around thomasville such as the rattlesnake roundup and we also have our cherokee reservation here in our area. Chief panther vivian lawson runs that she lives out on hwy 19 north. There are two main roads you need to remember hwy 19 which heads toward albany and then towards montecello florida. Hwy 319 is the main drag through town. It goes to tifton north and then south towards tallahassee, florida. Tallahassee is only about 35 miles south of thomasville. We are also close to the beaches depending on which direction you drive in. We also have the 84 bypass which goes all the way around thomasville. Housing has gotten more expensive because of the number of people moving into the area. They are building more houses because of the population growth. The county schools are located out in the county area and the inner city schools. For the statistics of what people live here you can research that on the internet. Thomasville is also a retirement community we have a lot of senior citizens. I myself am considering moving out of thomasville because for me personally i dont like living here. This is my hometown but i need to get away and am considering moving to ellijay, georgia to be closer to my native roots. I am part cherokee and my family is originally from up north. Dont let what i said though keep you from moving here its a personal choice i feel you will do ok. fireyspirit66
